Principal Dentist

Born and raised in Melbourne, Dr Altan graduated from University of Melbourne in 2012. He spent nine years practicing on the Bellarine Peninsula before joining the Local Dental Group in Parkdale in 2021. A member of the Australian Dental Association (ADA), Altan is experienced in all areas of general dentistry and is known for his gentle, caring approach, taking the time to ensure every patient feels comfortable and confident in their care. He has a strong focus on preventive dentistry, helping patients maintain healthy smiles for life. Outside of work, Altan enjoys chasing after his active young daughter, travelling and trying his hand at photography.

Dentist

Cathryn completed her dental training at the University of Sheffield in 2002, working in private, public and hospital dentistry. She joined the Local Dental Group upon its opening in 2018. Cathryn has a gentle, caring approach to dentistry. A great communicator, she enjoys putting patients at ease and practicing dentistry in a stress-free manner, with a particular emphasis on family and preventive dentistry. Cathryn resides in Bayside with her husband, two children and dog Luna. She loves reading and watching movies in her spare time, always giving us great recommendations.

Visiting Prosthetist

Isaak has been in the dental industry for over 30 years and has been practising as a prosthetist for over 20 years. He has a great chairside manner, always aiming to give patients aesthetically pleasing and functional dentures. In his spare time, you will find Isaak at the footy with his wife and 4 kids.

Receptionist/Nurse

Tanya has been a member of our team since 2019, welcoming every patient with her bubbly personality and warm smile. She goes the extra mile to make sure everyone feels comfortable from the moment they walk through the door. Whether you have a question about your appointment or just fancy a chat, Tanya is always happy to help, both over the phone or in person. Her caring nature and positive energy make every visit just a little bit brighter. Tanya completed her diploma in dental nursing in 1993 and has since been working all around the bayside area. Outside of work, you may find Tanya on a beach walk, or spending time with her family and friends.
